Tragedy struck the two families on the same day and in a similar fashion. While Israr, 8, was declared dead by the doctors at the Vadilal Sarabhai Hospital this evening, Geeta, the mother of Rohan Vyas, 11, has literally turned into a stone after cremating her son, five days after she lost her husband, Dushyant, in Saturday’s serial blasts in the city.
“Israr was on life support system. While his heart was functioning, he was practically dead. We took him off the ventilator support today,” said a doctor at the hospital.

City quickly goes back to its normal self, thanks to the needs of daily life
Four days after the bomb blasts, Ahmedabad wasn't 'limping back to normalcy'. It was normal. As normal as a city can be, even when explosions one after the other was entwining its geography forever with the history of serial bomb blasts in the country.
