In an all cash deal, IT and BPO services firm Zensar Technologies has acquired OBT Global Inc. in the USA and its offshore affiliate OBT Global Pvt. Ltd India. According to Zensar, OBT is a profitable dual shore SAP services provider with a track record of outstanding customer satisfaction in SAP Implementation and Support, ABAP programming and SAP help desk services.

Zensar Technologies chairman Harsh Goenka said, "We have successfully positioned Zensar as a global player in four key areas — Offshore Development & Support,Application Modernisation, Oracle Erp and BPO during 2005. This acquisition positions us well to expand into SAP, one of the fast growth segments of the industry."

Mr Ramesh Kodali, CEO of OBT, said, "In our brief journey to success in SAP, we have built a very capable team of 150 professionals and have done excellent work for customers in the USA and India. We are excited at the growth prospects that will emerge through this acquisition by Zensar."

Mr Ganesh Natarajan, global CEO of Zensar added, "OBT gets us firmly into the SAP services business with their excellent track record."

Indian telecom major Reliance Infocomm, the Anil Ambani-owned ADAE group company, has roped in gaming company Indiagames to unleash the Harry Potter mania across its gigantic chain of webworld outlets in 4,000 Indian cities.Indiagames is the sole distributor of Harry Potter mobile content in India. To cash in on the huge fan following of Harry Potter in India, Infocomm has created a special Potter zone on R World, the data application suite of Reliance India mobile.

Speaking to The Asian Age, Mr Mahesh Prasad, president (applications and solutions group), Reliance Infocomm, said, "Games are one of the most popular offerings on R World with a large user base as they are available to lakhs of our customers. Harry Potter zone on R World will be a treat to its fans as they can win Harry Potter movie CDs, books and other memorabilia by participating in the ‘DownloadNwin’ contest on R World." According to Mr Prasad, the Harry Potter zone has been developed on R World which allows Reliance IndiaMobile users to download Harry Potter video clips, wallpapers and play two specially designed Harry Potter mobile games. These games are priced at Rs 10 and Rs 15 per session.The game is simple and easy to access but challenging enough to engross the Potter fan, said Mr Prasad.

For that virtual Potter experience, one can also ride on the now legendary Potter broom trying dodging those "dark" creatures as even a brush with any of them could set one back to the start of the game.While on the broom ride, Harry Potter has to collect all the Bertie Bott’s "Every-Flavour Beans" which will add extra points to help one to cross to the next level of magical Potter world.
