SifyMax launches www.mumbailive.in for Mumbaikars!

www.sifymax.in, the leading broadband portal from Sify Limited, (NASDAQ Global Markets: SIFY), a leader in Consumer Internet and Enterprise Services in India with global delivery capabilities, announced today the launch of www.mumbailive.in, the city-centric broadband website for the city of Mumbai’. Mumbailive.in will showcase original Mumbai-centric video content created exclusively for an online audience. The videos will focus on city news and events, entertainment, celebrities, lifestyle, commerce and politics, anchored by Net Jockeys (NJs), a new concept introduced in India.

The Net Jockeys will also present daily news bulletins on video, covering the latest happenings in the city extensively. The broadband website also features, for the first time in India, 24/7 live video feeds from traffic web-cams stationed at key junctions of the city including Andheri, Bandra, Kandivali and Worli to start with and will move to other key locations in the city.

Mr. Surya Mantha, Sr.Vice President, Interactive Services, Sify Limited, said, “This is one of the most exciting web initiatives in recent times, and we believe that the people of Mumbai - the island city, will embrace it and truly make it come alive! The site is India’s second city-centric broadband website after Bangalorelive which we launched in March this year. We intend to introduce more such city centric websites with the sole objective of creating a community of caring citizens for whom this becomes a platform for people to share their views, discuss hot local topics and build their own personal space online”.

Mumbailive.in is a great way for people to stay in touch with all that’s happening in the city, no matter where they are based. With sections like Gossip, Bol Bachchan, Hip Haunts, late Night, Cat Walk and the News, Mumbaikars can update themselves with everything that happening in the city including Bollywood, the clubs, the music, news, hot topics, and live latest traffic status as well. As well as participate in discussions on the topics that affect their city. The site also has sections such as Corporate Scan, as well as India News, World News and Technology News. Users can participate on city polls under Hard Talk and vote for their favorite Bollywood stars on Opinion Poll. Mumbai Bazaar features jobs, real estate, autos and matrimonials, where users can post free classified advertisements.

A key aspect of Mumbailive is the option for users to publish their views, participate in Mumbai-specific discussions and upload their own content in images and videos. They can also message
greetings through Short Message Service (SMS) to their friends who are using the site that will scroll across the home page on a ticker. The idea is to make Mumbailive the online resource and home for Mumbai’s citizens, and the perfect way for Mumbaikars living elsewhere to stay in touch with what’s happening in their home city. In short, Mumbailive is all set to change the online experience of people from Mumbai, whether they are in the city or elsewhere.
