According to Vastrapur police officials, Brahmbhatt had procured a gun licence in 2000 and had purchased a NP pistol, manufactured in Spain, from Delhi on 2001. According to his complaint, he had purchased it as an antique and not as a weapon. The gun is silver-plated edition of famous NP brand, said investigating officials.
"Brahmbhatt was out of town since September 21 and returned on October 1. When he returned, he found lock of one of wooden safes in his house broken ," said police sources.
