The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has decided to run a special Bharat Darshan train to South India considering heavy rush of pligrims in the state.
Sources said the new train will leave Ahmedabad railway station on December 4 and cover destinations, like Tirupati Balaji, Kanchipuram, Rameshwaram, Madurai and Kanyakumari. The trip will be for nine days and eight nights at Rs 4,620 per person, including sleeper class fare, accommodation at the religious spots, pure vegetarian meals and tourist bus charges at the sightseeing place. The train will halt at Vadodara and Surat for tourists. In August, IRCTC had run two trips of Bharat Darshan train from Ahmedabad to eastern India, covering destinations like Puri, Gangasagar, Varanasi, Allahabad and Ujjain.
