Air Deccan announces revision of fuel surcharge effective 7th July 06

Air Deccan announces that effective 7th July; the fuel surcharge will be revised to Rs. 500 from the existing Rs. 300 on all fares to all the routes. The new surcharge will be applicable to all bookings made on or after 7th July and will not apply to tickets that have been booked/ purchased in advance. (Before 7th July 2006)

The surcharge has been imposed due to the continuous escalation of the jet fuel prices. “In the last one year there has been a 36% increase in the fuel prices in India. It is imperative for us to revise the fuel surcharge as the fuel cost of an aircraft contributes approximately 40% to the total Airline cost’, said Warwick Brady, Chief Operating Officer, Air Deccan. For any further queries on the fares, passengers can visit the Air Deccan website- www.airdeccan.net or call our 24/7 all India Call Centre 39008888 (Please prefix your city code while dialing)
