Tata AIG ties up with Audatex for online Motor claim settlement services

Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited (Tata AIG General) today announced the beginning of its strategic relationship with Audatex to provide India’s first comprehensive online claim settlement solution.

Audatex India will offer Tata AIG General the web based, fully integrated solution, AudaEnterprise (AE) that will assist the company in managing the entire range of claims activity from intimation of accident to settling of claims and beyond. The Audatex solutions will reduce the turnaround time of claim settlement by about 50% and will benefit over five lakh auto policy holders of Tata AIG General Insurance.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Dalip Verma, MD, Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited said, “This is the latest in the series of firsts that we have introduced in the field of Auto Insurance besides our initiatives of direct payments to our Key Preferred Garages, the Auto Restore warranty, the mobile claims services etc. This association with Audatex will enable us to add more services to our existing portfolio, to halve the claim settlement time and thus significantly increase customer satisfaction in the auto insurance segment. We are extremely pleased to partner with Audatex in providing online claim settlement solutions to our customers.”

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Paul Tucker, MD, Audatex UK said, “India is one of the fastest growing Auto markets and economies in the world. Audatex and Solera are committed to bring in the latest technology to Indian customers. We will continue to ramp up our investments in India. I am very happy to inform you that the technology being offered in India is ahead of even the technology being used in several other European and American markets."

Mr. Pankaj Kapoor, Chief Executive Officer of Audatex India said, “Our vision, in India, is to be at the hub of the motor claims industry and provide end to end claim processing solutions and value added consultancy to our Indian customers. We have already invested USD 3 million so far and are looking at investing USD 4 million more in the next 2 years in hardware, software, data and training infrastructure. Training is a big focus area for us and we are creating a chain of trainers who will assist our customers in implementation.”

The customers of Tata AIG General will get their damaged cars repaired at body shops across the country. These body shops will submit an estimate to Tata AIG General for the repair of the crashed car and Tata AIG General engineers will evaluate the estimate and accept the liability after making an assessment of the damage. The Audatex online solution will offer measurable benefits to all parties in a claim at every step by reducing paperwork and turnaround time.
