Citibank India, a part of Citigroup, on Wednesday announced the launch of Citibusiness Power Access, the first of its kind business network geared towards giving small businesses and professional (SBP) customers access to the benefits which are normally enjoyed by large corporations.
"We aim to treat SBP as a priority segment as 42 per cent of India’s GDP comes from small business. Power Access offers SBPs tangible benefits spanning all key categories of interest on a common platform," said Mr Rajiv Jamkhedkar, business manager-Citibusiness, Citibank N.A.
He further said, "Our loan book has grown in excess of 50 per cent this year. And small business contribute around 35 to 40 per cent of our total retail business."
"We are bullish on our growth. We have close to 100,000 small business cards and more than 35,000 small businesses banking with us," he said.
