Ford launches Mondeo

The internationally acclaimed Ford Mondeo was introduced in the city by Ford India on Thursday. These cars manufactured in Belgium are being imported to India as completely built units. General-manager finance, Sam Manipadam said Ford Mondeo is among the most successful products from the company and has won 29 international awards, including 11 car of the year titles in 2001. The car was launched in Europe in the beginning of 2001.

The car is being launched in India with petrol and turbo diesel models, in three colours-panther black, stardust silver and oyster. The petrol version of the car costs Rs 15.71 lakh and diesel version costs 16.96 lakh.
