Gujarat : According to Agriculture Minister Dilip Sanghani, on 19 July 2010, Gujarat witnessed 67.29% sowing of Kharif season which comes to 58,52,900 hectare. Cotton and Groundnut continue to dominate, occupying highest area of sowing. The sowing figures released by the minister are following:

Paddy – 1,99,300 hectare
Bajari – 3,44,500 hectare
Juvar – 37,400 hectare
Corn – 291800 hectare
other grain – 4000 hectare
