Ahmedabad : On a petition filed by leader of Opposition, HC issues notice to state on sale of 49% stake in GPPC

The Gujarat High Court today issued notices to the state government and others on a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by the Leader of the Opposition, Shaktisinh Gohil, who has challenged the government’s decision to sell its 49 per cent stake and 70 per cent Certified Emissions Reductions (CERs) or carbon credit in the state-owned GSPC Pipavav Power Company Limited (GPPC) to a private firm, SWAN Energy Limited (SEL).
