Gujarat : Gujarat government’s Maritime Board spokesperson on Monday announced the state government has approved three projects, worth Rs 1,070 crore, for development of shipbuilding yards, off Gujarat coast line. This includes yards along the north bank of Narmada near Dahej, and old-port of Bhavnagar, according to Gujarat Maritime Board(GMB).
Small to medium size vessels are proposed to be constructed by these private players at the approved sites according to GMB spokesperson.
The three companies granted approval for developing shipbuilding yards are Modest Infrastructure at Nava Ratanpara in Bhavnagar, Dolphin Offshore at Jafrabad in Saurasthra and Bombay Marine at Koliyad near Dahej.
