<p>As per the latest annual report of the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment, Gujarat provided jobs through the exchanges to 2.14-lakh people during 2009, as against that to 3.09-lakh in the entire country. This amounts to a whopping 71.4% of the total vacancies filled through employment exchanges.<br />

<p>“The Internet is a strong medium of knowledge. Our attempt through the Internet Bus is to spread the awareness of this medium and its relevance in our daily life. <p>Around 3 pm on Tuesday, ammonia gas began oozing out from one of the 12 valves located on the terrace of Shree Gayatri Ice Factory, which is surrounded by thickly populated residential societies and chawls. People smelt something was amiss and called the fire brigade, which plugged the leakage.<br />

The consignment contained 25 tonnes of banana. Gujarat already exports banana to middle east countries, but Egypt has opened a new African market according to GAIC Managing Director D Thara.</p>
<p>The banana pack house, set up at an estimated cost of Rs 8 crore, was commissioned by the state-run GAIC last month. The pack house has a pre-cooling and ripening chamber, besides de-latexing, grading, sorting, quality checking, weighing, labeling, packing in polybags, de-vacuuming, cold room storage and dispatch through reefer containers facilities.<br />

<p>Small to medium size vessels are proposed to be constructed by these private players at the approved sites according to GMB spokesperson.</p>
<p>The three companies granted approval for developing shipbuilding yards are Modest Infrastructure at Nava Ratanpara in Bhavnagar, Dolphin Offshore at Jafrabad in Saurasthra and Bombay Marine at Koliyad near Dahej.<br />

<p>Chief Minister Modi discussed some important issues pertaining to Indian industries and government’s approach towards them. Following are the points raised by Modi in discussion.</p>
<p>-The subject of labor should not be in joint domain of centre and state. This issue should be handed over to state govts as exclusive state subject.</p>
<p>-Peace in Industries can not be maintained only on the bases of law. State governments should be empowered to implement better law practices through needed amendments.<br />
