Tina Ambani in Ahmedabad to announce the Harmony show-2000

Tina was in Ahmedabad city to announce the Harmony Show-2000, which is hyped as the country’s most comprehensive art exhibition. Conceived and initiated by Tina, the Harmony Show this year will have 138 artists from various parts of the country exhibiting 270 artefacts at the show to be held in Mumbai.

As many as 35 painters and sculptors from Gujarat will participate in the annual event organised by the textiles division of Reliance Industries. Of the 35, most of the artists hail from Baroda, which is thriving centre of fine arts in the state.

The Harmony Show-2000, on the theme of "Art and Fashion," will be inaugurated by Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan at the Nehru Centre. For the first time, a pavilion of "wearable art" featuring works of India a leading designers like Wendell Roderigues, Lascelles Symons, Shaina NC, Brinda Chudasama Miller and Raisa Hussain will be on exhibition.

As the Harmony show enters the fifth year, Ms Ambani feels that while the main aim of the show is to promote art, the promotion of the brand was equally important.

This year, the show is expected to attract over 35,000 visitors and for the first time the show will be put upon the Internet.

Tina got inspired to conceive such a show to spread more awareness and do something that concerns a bigger group of people and make art accessible to the lay person.

Over the years, the Harmony Show has been attracting young upcoming arts from different corners of the country.
