| Kevadia workshop mere histrionics, says Congress
In its characteristic
style of criticising the state government, the Congress has ridiculed
the three-day convention of collectors and DDOs at the Kevadia Colony
convened by chief minister Narendra Modi to collectively initiate and
implement administration reforms.
The
party instead of providing a constructive opposition and representing
the voice of the people seems to be merely indulging in needless criticism
of every act of the state government.
On
Saturday the Congress came out with another criticism asking Mr Modi to
focus on administration instead of indulging in histrionics. It appears
that the chief minister is getting together the act of the administration
by sharing the achievements of certain districts with others by holding
the convention, so that it could be replicated. However, the Congress
seems to be crying wolf instead of patiently waiting for the results of
the convention.
Meanwhile,
GPCC spokesman Arvind Sanghvi said the chief minister should focus on
effective financial management that will automatically reduce stress instead
of yoga and stress management.
He
said such workshops do not achieve anything, are a wasteful expenditure
and that there is no reason to believe that everyone is attending them
willingly. He said such workshops are not a state’s prerogative
and will neither bring any change in the attitude and approach of the
officials nor serve any purpose except satisfying the ego of its organisers.
