The victim, a resident of Samratnagar society in CTM, Amraiwadi, stated in her complaint that the duo picked her up from Hatkeshwar Circle, where she was waiting for transport to Gandhinagar. They took her to an unknown place in Kankaria, raped her and robbed her of gold ornaments worth Rs. 9000. Later they escaped after sending her off in a rickshaw.
However, police claimed on Monday that it does not seem, prima facie, that the two had raped her. Police further claimed that the girl could be having an affair with the two.
Police maintained that the girl field a complaint after a quarrel between the three of them.
