Parthiv, who is presently at Mumbai to play a benefit match for the tsunami victims, told The Asian Age that he is happy to have cleared his Pre-University Examination but he is still undecided about which course to pursue for graduation. "I want to continue with my studies but as on now my priority is cricket. I want to be back in the national squad at the earliest. I am keeping my fingers crossed for the forthcoming Pakistan Series."
Parthiv, who has secured 52 per cent marks in the PUC exams, has been a good student and he scored 70 per cent marks in the class X board examination from Gujarat Secondary Board though he was playing cricket and used to get little time for academic pursuits, said a proud Ajay Patel, father of Parthiv. Mr. Patel said Parthiv was unable to appear for the board exams owing to his cricket commitments, as a member of the national team.
Mr. Patel said Parthiv had done them proud by representing India but studies are equally important and that he would like his son to pursue MBA. Mr. Patel has already secured admission for Parthiv in the BBA course at Rajasthan Vidyapeeth for the forthcoming academic session.
