Sindhi was held from Dhatej village of Savli taluka. Police said Sindhi's name had also cropped up during the 2002 post Godhra blasts in panchmahals. Of the fourteen accused in the 2002 blasts, eight have been arrested so far. Earlier, Godhra police had sought high court's permission to interrogate the eight accused after finding similarities in the modus operandi between the panchmahals and Polan Bazaar blasts. However, rural IGP Rakesh Asthana maintained that investigations are on and so far no arrests have been made in the case. |
