Gujarat gaining grounds in skilled software professionals...

The first Microsoft Certified Software Engineer along with specialisation in Internet, Bhargav L. Shukla of Ahmedabad achieves this credit by obtaining the internationally recognised certification from Microsoft – the software giant of PC Industry.

Bhargav L Shukla hails from a Gujarati hindu family which settled in Ahmedabad as early as 1950’s. At the age of 18, Bhargav Shukla availed his Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Technical Examination Board, Gujarat. Before he entered his twenties, he earned the credits to qualify as Structural Engineer and earned himself, Advanced Diploma in Structural Engineering from Technical Examination Board, Gujarat.

But this was not enough for this highly skilled young professional. Soon he started realising his interests in the field of Information Technology / computers, and joined the Information Technology Centre to learn Computer Aided Designing. He earned the Industry Certification in Drafting, Designing and Programming in AutoCAD by proving his technical skills in AutoCAD after working for two year. During this period, Autodesk® Inc., USA, awarded three certificates to him.

Just after completing his ADSE, he started giving consultancy, providing solutions for multimedia authoring and animations. While involved in one of the projects for Compucity Inc., Chicago, USA at Baroda, he started trying his hand on communications and networking between PCs and he was strongly fascinated by concept of Computer Communications and the way they are networked. Bhargav then decided to move back to Ahmedabad for gaining technical expertise in Networking & further studies for MCSE. He also served for Academy for Computer Training (Guj.) Pvt. Ltd., (the biggest corporate training company in Gujarat which is also an Authorised Technical Education Centre of Microsoft) with his technical skills and knowledge. Meanwhile, during his tenure with ACT, he proved his skills again by being awarded three of the internationally recognised certifications from Microsoft :

1.
MCP
Microsoft Certified Product Specialist (MCP)
2. MCP+I
Microsoft Certified Product Specialist with specialisation in Internet (MCP+I)
3. MCSE
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)

He has set the trend for upcoming computer engineers by being the first person in Ahmedabad to complete the MCSE track. Bhargav continued serving at ACT along with his business of multimedia authoring. He was also responsible for conducting all the batches of MCSE at ACT and was also involved in faculty enrichment programs, beta testing of Microsoft products and corporate training offered by ACT. He served big corporate clients like ISRO team, Times of India, Pace Computers, RPG Cellcomm (Indore) etc. and imparted his knowledge to these working professionals to help them enhance their technical skills for better business process and research projects.

"Winners are dynamic and moving" and he proved this again by achieving his credits to be certified as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer with specialisation in Internet (MCSE + I) in November 1998. This time being the first person in Gujarat to be an MCSE + I.

He is still on his way to the top. To enhance his skillset and to serve the IT industry, he has recently moved to Washington D.C. working to work with a company which is into systems design and integration along with a Specialised Technical Education Centre.

There are many such skilled professionals who are graduated from different Engineering Colleges and Institutes in Gujarat every year who flock down to USA or other parts of the country for better future prospects since there aren't enough IT companies in this region to employ them. We hope that with the opening up of Infocity near Ahmedabad, there will be a good demand for these professionals though it may take some time.

We at Ahmedabad.com wish him the very best for his future.
