Infocity to open
at new site on Oct. 15
The
GNFC-lnfocity Bhavan will be inaugurated on October 15, a meeting of government
officials decided here on Friday.
The Infocity Bhavan will
function at a complex built on the Gandhinagar-Sarkhej Highway by GNFC
with complete facility of connectivity for private entrepreneurs who come
to the state even as the Infocity takes shape over a 200-acre plot in
Gandhinagar.
The meeting was attended
by minister of state for information technology Bimal Shah, GNFC chairman
Pradipsinh Jadeja, advisors to the chief minister prof. N.V. Vasani and
S.K. Shelat, additional chief secretary of the information technology
department K.C. Kapoor and managing director of the Gujarat Information
Limited Jayanti Ravi among other officials.
Mr Jadeja said the GNFC Infoci
ty has been equipped with facilities for connectivity and IT unit. He
informed that the entrepreneurs are eligible for capital incentive subsidy
and connectivity is being provided by STPI Software Developers.
The GNFC chairman said software
developers have shown their preparedness for purchase of 50,000 sq feet
land uptil now.
A draft pre-feasibility report
was prepared jointly by Price Water-house Coopers, Dalal Consultants and
other agencies, Mr Kapoor said.
Mr Patel emphasised on the
need for urgent allocation of land through Gujarat Informatics Limited
in view of the eagerness shown by the other states and foreign entrepreneurs
in the project.
