Gujarat Informatics
Limited and CII to hold meet on e-commerce
The
confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Gujarat Informatics Limited
(GIL), the nodal agency of the government of Gujarat for the IT sector,
are jointly organising a seminar on e-commerce and Internet Services at
the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) on 17 September, to promote
the concept and use of e-commerce and internet services. The seminar would
be inaugurated by chief minister, Mr Kesbubhai Patel, and the theme address
would be delivered by minister of state for IT, government of Gujarat,
Mr Bimal Shah.
Important dignitaries at
the seminar would include Mr LNS Mukundan, chief secretary, government
of Gujarat and Mr N V Vasani, advisor to the chief minister on Science
and Technology, government of Gujarat.
The seminar will be the first
in a series to be held throughout Gujarat to promote e-commerce and Internet
services as a thrust area for IT development. The objective of the seminar
would be to provide detailed information and know-how to the decision-makers,
professionals and entrepreneurs for integrating e-commerce into existing
business processes and for generating new ventures.
