Latest rage: Dotcoms
offering ‘spiritual peace’
Just a click of mouse and you unravel every minute detail about all religions
on your computer. The present day gurus, who sell "peace of mind" worldwide
now sell it via Internet from Ahmedabad. An Ahmedabad-based dotcom, topcassettes.com,
which was launched on August 20, offers to give one "world of peace" packaged
in a compact disk, video compact disk and on CD-ROM in a very lucid form.
Lord Krishna could
be found on the site interacting with his great disciple Arjuna. The remarkable
feature of the site is that all the religious incidents are graphically
presented with sketches created in a special way. The Indian spiritual
guru, Mr Deepak Chopra, who brought a revolution in the western countries
with his spiritual preaching, has been approached by the dotcom. Similarly,
it is also planning to take the services of internationally acclaimed
HRD consultant Shiv Khera. This dotcom company has recorded preaching
of spiritual guru Rishikumar Pandya on psychology and management, which
is doing a good business and sold like hot cakes abroad.
Mr Deep Trivedi,
who had started the company, is himself a great hit in Ahmedabad because
of his remarkable oratory skills. His cassettes are also a rage among
the Gujaratis and are sold like hotcakes in Ahmedabad.
Director of the
dotcom company, Ms Usha Singh, says, "We have been concentrating on psychology,
management, philosophy and religion." Ms Singh says, there are at least
one lakh pages on these subjects on the web, which are all designed and
packaged in Ahmedabad. The company has, content wise the largest ever
and highly creative portal, which contains all the details about religion,
biography, education, management, quotations, psychology, children and
success.
There are about
7,000 pages on Bhagvad Gita and 6,000 pages on Quran in the web and soon
more will be added to it.
Unlike other dotcoms,
this dotcom explains religious discourses in text and visual forms, which
is all created by the local artists. Top cassettes Ltd has signed a memorandum
of understanding with the Mauritus Export Development and Investment Authority,
which aims at establishing its link with the other world.
