Information on colleges now just a click away

For students who recently passed the Higher Secondary Certificate examination, information on various courses and colleges in Gujarat is now just a click, away.

Just log on to www.E-ducationgujarat.com.

A Vadodara-based web designer, Dhiren Mehta, has launched this portal which aims at providing information on education the State.

Mehta claims that the website is a comprehensive package of educational, institutions and the professional courses offered by them.

"This portal would be extremely beneficial for the students interested in further education after Standard 10, 12 and graduation," Mehta said.

Giving details, Mehta said that the website provided, a list of colleges all across Gujarat providing degree courses.

"It also informs the students about the wide-ranging courses offered by the colleges," he said. Information about various Universities in the state has also been put on the net.

Besides the degree courses, the website will also provide information on the professional courses offered by private institutions in the State and the process for admission to these courses.

"The basic idea is to provide all the information both about the colleges and how to get carry out the process for admission into these institutions. All this would be just a click away and free of cost," Mehta said.

He said that the website will also have a feedback form.

"If the students are not satisfied with the available information on the website, they can fill in the form and seek more details about a particular course or college and we will get back to the students with the details," he said.

Mehta also said that he was planning a tie-up with the MS University for putting on the net the varsity syllabi for various courses offered by the University. "The entire-syllabus would be put on the net once the tie-up comes through," Mehta said. This will benefit hundreds of students who have been finding it hard to obtain a copy of the syllabus.
