Death toll touches 97 after rains

The death toll in the state caused by heavy rainfall has reached 97, according to the latest figures provided by state government. Karjan taluka has received maximum rainfall with 42 mm of rains in the past 24 hours.

Ten talukas in Vadodara district also received heavy rainfall. Taswadi taluka has received 28 mm of rainfall, Kanvat taluka received 26 mm of rainfall while six other districts have received 10 mm rains.

According to the revenue department, rainfall received in specific talukas are - Vadodara 16 mm, Samboda 10 mm, Jethpur 9 mm, Chhota Udepur 6 mm, Dabhoi 5 mm, Vaghodia 4 mm and Savli 3 mm. Unretha taluka in Anand district received 23 mm rainfall while Jambudhoda taluka of Panchmahal district measured 16 mm rainfall.

Halol taluka received 10 mm rainfall.
