BJ students decide on truce, to withdraw complaints
The
warring groups at the B.J. Medical College have decided to withdraw police
complaints filed against each other during the campus clashes last month.
This was decided in a meeting of parents of both groups held on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by 25 parents representing students of Block
A and B. Dean of medical college Dr. M.M. Prabhakar and warden of the
hostel were also present in the meeting.
The
complaints will be with drawn from the police station by both the sides.
This
was the third meeting of parents held at the B.J. Medical College after
the group clashes between students from North Gujarat, Saurashtra and
those from other states. The police had arrested seven students after
a complaint filed by one of the groups. The group of North Gujarat had
dominated the college campus till now. However, this time students from
Saurashtra and other states joined and gave them tough resistance.
