As you can see in the above Kutch Map, the most effected villages and small towns are in the vicinity of Bhuj but there is Absolute NO HELP and people are still striving for Water, food, medicine, Shelter blankets etc…

  • Lodai is the main epicenter of the earthquake, which is 20 Km from Bhuj. As per the reports 12 villages have been completely submerged in the surface around Lodai
  • There are two places which has seen Lava being erupted out of the earth's surface, one near Jodia Jamnagar, in Bambla and another in Tikkar near Halvad, Surendranagar

Details of small villages in nearby areas, which have been severely effected are given below (courtesy www.kutchinfo.com) which has an average population of anywhere between 10,000 to 25,000 and are still buried under rubble and needs immediate assistance for healthcare, water, food, medicine, shelter etc…

All these nearby villages require HELP from any government / non-government organisations, social welfare organisations and NRIs specially for all the below mentioned small villages which are located in extreme interior parts of the region and are not in focus. These villages really require your help.

 

Are you travelling to Bhuj (Kutch)?
  • We request all the organisations and individuals, who are planing to go to kutchh by road to take adequate fuel, drinking water, food for yourself as there is no facility available on the highway apart from Bhuj.
  • Kutch Yuvak Sangh has arranged for all facilities at Mumbai International Airport for NRI Kutchi. They are requested to Contact 9821014090 (Mr. Bharat Karani) for all further arrangements & information or on +91 (22) 4222386
  • People Travelling to kutch are requested to carry the torches, Batteries, and other required equipment and they are also suggested to carry the Generator sets with them as there will be no electric connections in Kutch for 15 days.
  • People travelling specially to Bhuj are requested to carry their Identity Card as a proof of their Indian Citizenship. Otherwise they would be not allowed to enter in Bhuj.
  • Various doctors those who are living to Gujarat are requested to carry with them heavy Medical Equipments.

Bhuj: Adopted by Army for redevelopment
Bhachao:
Around 125km from Bhuj is the most effected area Bhuj, which has not been paid attention for relief work… It is completely damaged. Though Maharashtra Government has adopted this village for redevelopment but it still needs immediate help to save thousands of lives.
Anjar: Around 40 Km from Bhuj. This small village is also completely damaged and now this place has been adopted by Reliance Industries for redevelopment, but it still needs immediate help to save thousands of lives.
Nani Khedoi: 40 Km. from Bhuj.
Sinogra: 35 Km from Bhuj

  • Detailed report of Devpur (near gadhshisa , mandvi taluka)
    Derasar is damaged & 3-4 houses collapsed, no casulaties. In LAYJA Top and Bottom Part of the Derasar is damaged. Idol of Parshvanath and Chaumukhi dharamnath is damaged, steps damaged, cracks on the northwall, cracks in the walls of Limbda upashray. Cracks found in Sankul's Library, Bhojnalay, Dispencary and Main Gate. Shankar (Mahadev) Temple Damaged. Prembha Gate has a minor damaged, Sojpar Kaya dispensary demolished.
    Houses of Teju Kaya, Ratansi Palan, Dhanji Kachra, Ramji Jetha, Premji Hirji Chadva, Jagdish Kheraj Jevat, Naniben Furia, Kheraj Pasu, Gangji Karamshi are totaly Demolished.
  • New Anjar in better position. Khatri chawl, ganga bazar, madh fario, mala sheri damaged. old Anjar was badly affected. More help is needed over there.
  • Toda has been reported with damages to property, no loss of life has been reported
  • Nana Asambhia, Tumbdi, Ramaniya, Beraja, Dasri, Don, Tokri, Bada, Kotadi, Nana Ratadiya and Mota Ratadiya are heavily damaged
  • Gundala is completely destroyed and the surrounding villages are also affected.
  • Mokha heavily damaged. Few houses collapsed and rest on verge of falling.
  • Vanki Tirth damaged slightly and 2 persons injured.
  • Naredi & Gangapur are affected. No authentic report on death.
  • Koday Safe with no causalities & Talwana safe with no causalities & minor damages are there.
  • Nangalpar safe with no casualties. But minor damages are there.
  • Sherdi is safe - Naredi & Gangapur are affected.
  • Nana Ashiambia Reported with Light Damage
  • Mota Ashiambia Reported with Heavy Damage
  • Ramania was heavily damaged.
  • Tunda village is totally safe and no damages are observed
  • Wondh Adhoi and Bhadurganj Heavily Damaged

  • Karaghoga old houses are heavily and collapse
