Cabinet meet today
to sort out vala’s budget speech
Chief minister Keshubhai
Patel has convened a Cabinet meeting on Monday to give final shape to
the speech of finance minister Vaju Vala for the budget session of the
Assembly beginning on Thursday.
It may be recalled that
the state government had postponed the budget session in March and had
instead opted for a vote on account due to the earthquake that had wrecked
Kutch and several parts of the state on the Republic Day.
Sources said the meeting
would also discuss strategy to counter the Opposition Congress and discuss
the bills to be tabled. The Monday meeting will be part of the series
of meetings that have been held over the past few days in the secretariat
to discuss various issues related to the Vidhan Sabha.
