@ #~! resonate in Vidhan Sabha
By Satyendra Shrivastava

With everyone blabbering on parliamentary democracy, sanctity of the House and decorum in the proceedings," barely few metros outside the House, the Vidhan Sabha precincts witnessed the protesting Opposition members resorting to baser expletives and violent mob behaviour. So atrocious was the demeanour of the Congress members, the security personnel had tough time controlling the bedlam that ensued. Some Congressmen were even roughed up in the process.

A paradox of sorts — sloganeering juxtaposed with swear words, personal allegations, and Ramdhun resonated in the closed gallery in front of the Speaker’s office, where Congressmen were staging a dharna. It is learnt that the Congress high command is unhappy with the "unparliamentary" approach of tbe state Congress MLAs. Senior sources in the All India Congress Committee said that the Congress must practice restraint and express itself in line with expected norms of decorum.

The sergeants responsible for the security arrangement in the Vidhan Sabha building and the police had a tough time restraining the agitated members of the Opposition Congress.
