Modi for stringent action against inefficient officers

Taking his crusade against errant and inefficient government officials, chief minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that if Problems that should have been resolved at district level come up at Secretariat, stringent action will be taken against responsible officers.

He said that as a follow-up action of the gram sabhas held all over the state from October 11 to 31, the district officers should solve the problems concerning people. Separate arrangements are made in the chief minister’s office to deal with the problems of the rural sector, he said. Modi asked the administration to he decisive in solving the problems right from the grass-root level.

He added that under the Gokul Gram Yojana, infrastructure facilities were being created while under the Samras Grain scheme the social harmony would be restored. "If the people decide to do something unanimously, it will infuse dynamism in administration," he added.
