Bhandari stresses on unity
Governor Sundar Singh Bhandari reiterated the Narendra Modi slogan of "justice to all, appeasement to none" and said the state government will accord top priority to ensure unity and brotherhood.

In a speech that had no intrusions from the Opposition, Mr Bhandari said this was the first mandate of the state in the new millennium and that the government is committed to the interest of the people and will lay the foundation of the state in the 21st century.

He said the state has accomplished the onerous task of completing the election process peacefully amid apprehensions and speculations and that the government will lead the way to a prosperous, modern and safe Gujarat.

Former minister Bharat Barot gave the vote of thanks to the governor that was seconded by BJP MLA Shankar Chaudhary.
