| City set to dance into New Year
The
chill in the air has only accentuated the heat that is catching up with
the Amdavadis, as the city gears up for the New Year. Come 31st night,
when the mercury dips low, the party-loving people donning their best
outfits will hit the dance floors to bid the old year goodbye and welcome
the new year.
For all those people who are
looking for places with some good music and crowd, hotels like Taj Residency
have arranged for celebrations keeping the mood of their patrons in mind.
The hotel has organised ghazal evening Shaam-E-Bahar for those who prefer
to usher in the New Year in "classical" manner. The soothing ambience
made up by soft lighting and lilting soft notes in the background is in
sharp contrast to bright lights and blaring music that is normally associated
with New Year celebrations.
For those who believe that
dancing the night away is the way to bring in the New Year, Taj Residency
has also organised a dance party.
In the outskirts of the city,
which is where the most happening parties are organised, Cosmos Castle
promises some great music along with laser lights to create the right
effect. Moreover, it also has an added attraction; at the stroke of midnight
a gala fireworks display will usher in the New Year. This place has arrangements
for about 3,500 people. However, only couple-passes have been made available
to check unruly behaviour.
However, those without partners
also have options for they can dance away at parties organised by the
multiplexes situated on the Gandhinagar-Sarkhej. Wide Angle has invited
Delhi DJs Sunil and Nipun and one can sway to their beats at Rs 200 per
person, inclusive of snacks.
RWorld, off the highway to
Gandhinagar, is also preparing itself to receive and entertain its guests
with some lively music and good food. With 100 couple passes already sold,
the place seems to be in demand despite its remote location. Similarly,
Shanku’s Water Park is also organising a party on New Year’s eve with
DJs Tony and Jagjit from Mumbai.
