A delegation of seven UK MPs presented a cheque of 1 million pounds to Chief Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of SEWA International UK, a UK based NGO, said a Government press statement.

The NGO raised money from 1.3 million Indians who reside in Great Britain and this money will be used to assist the rebuilding of communities and infrastructure in Gujarat. The delegation was in the State recently to review the reconstruction of affected villages in Gujarat and to get first-hand understanding of the tragedy, said the statement.
