Modi condemns terrorist attack

Caretaker Chief Minister Narendra Modi has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Akshardham Swaminarayan temple in Gandhinagar and termed it as a manifestation of ongoing conspiracies to disrupt peace in the state.

Mr. Modi, in an official statement, said elements distressed by the fact that their intentions are not bearing fruits in Kashmir are now making Gujarat their target. He expressed the state government’s firm resolve to quell terrorist activity and said they will leave no stone unturned in the process.

"It is my humble request to masses of Gujarat that they should not lose their patience during this testing time as peace and equality are strengths of Gujarat," Mr. Modi appealed.

Mr. Modi further appealed to the people to offer their support to the state government in quelling terrorism.

He said the terrorists elements need not misconstrue our peace-loving temperament as timidity and stop playing this cowardly game of terrorising innocent people.
