Congress alleges violation of code of conduct
The state Congress has alleged that the inauguration of the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway by the BJP government on Tuesday is a clear violation of the code of conduct by the BJP in wake of election of self-governing bodies slated in mid-February.

The party has already filed an official complaint to the state election commission in this regard, informed an official statement issued by party spokesperson Arvind Sanghvi on Tuesday.

State Congress claimed that the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway that passes through Kheda could have negative repercussions for the Congress in the forthcoming elections, the release stated.

Chief minister Narendra Modi and his party have violated the code of conduct by inaugurating the expressway that passes through Kheda, considering the state election commission has already declared the elections of Kheda district panchayat. Elections of other self-governing institutions have also been announced.
