| Baroda couple abducts six month old infant
In a case of child abduction, about five persons
have been booked by the Anand local crime branch on Friday. Reports confirm
that a Baroda-based childless couple had hired three persons to abduct
a child in return for Rs 1,000.
According to the Anand police,
a case of child abduction was reported at the Bhadran police station on
Tuesday. One Khoda Thakor had lodged a police complaint about his six-month
infant Jignesh Thakor’s abduction on Monday night.
As per reports, Khoda Thakor,
a resident of Lalpura village - about 15 km from Anand, was sleeping along
with his family outside his home, when around 12.30 pm, three persons
Rava Sana Thakor, Manu Thakor and Rava Bhikha Thakor abducted Jignesh.
During the investigation,
the local crime branch following a tip off received news about the involvement
of a Baroda based childless couple in the incident. The Anand LCB nabbed
Rajesh Masaroo and Rekha Masaroo who reportedly bought the child at Rs
1,000. The Anand LCB official told The Asian Age, "The couple had
hired three people to abduct the child and the deal was made for Rs 1,000.
The abductors are in police custody. After receiving the child, the couple
went to Surat from where they were arrested. The child has been recovered
from the couple and has been handed over to Khoda Thakor."
