VHP now on a signature mission
The Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s latest mission is to get petion supporting the consturction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya signed by 10 crore people all over the country. After this signature campaign, they plan to exert pressure in the Lok Sabha to pave the way for the temple construction.

VHP international vice-president Acharya Giriraj Kishore told the reporters on Friday that Parliament should form a law for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. "If law can be formed in a simple case like Shah Banu by the Parliament, why can it not be repeated in the Ayodhya case?" he questioned.

Speaking about the status of Ram Janmabhoomi dispute he said, "The case had been pending since 43 years. Though the excavation reports are in our favour, the Uttar Pradesh high court will at least take three years to deliver judgement. High court verdict could be challenged in the Supreme Court."

Acharya Giriraj Kishore said the Hindu society is losing patience. The VHP is at present engaged in taking signatures of MPs in favour of Ram temple. "Prominent voters from each constituency are approaching MPs to persuade them to sign in favour of building Ram temple at the disputed site. We already have signatures of 125 MPs supporting our cause," Acharya Giriraj Kishore said.

Under the Sankalpsutra programme, which will be launched on June 9, the VHP plans to approach two lakh villages and persuade 10 crore people to sign in favour of building Ram temple in order to stress the issue in Parliament. "Pictures of the Ram Janmabhoomi site will be distributed in these villages," he added.

He reiterated his earlier statement saying that they will not allow building of mosque near the Ram Janmabhoomi site. "There are enough mosques in Ayodhya," he added.
