Yasmin disappears from bakery
Nafitullah Habibullah Shaikh, the brother of Zahira Shaikh who is in Mumbai with Zahira, reportedly forced his wife Yasminbano to vacate the Best Bakery premises on Monday after she alleged that he had grabbed the property presently undergoing renovation work.

Yasmin bano, who was claiming her right over the Best Bakery property, disappeared in wee hours on Monday along with her mother Rashida Shaikh.

Interestingly, Heena Vasava another wife of Nafitullah claimed that Nafitullah had pressurised Yasmin to vacate the bakery through his "sources" in Mumbai who had contacted Madhu Shrivastava in the US.

Yasmin on Sunday had claimed that she would not leave the bakery premises as Nafitullah had brought her to Baroda from her village in Chhotaudepur taluka. Yasmin had come to the Hanuman tekri area, where the bakery is located, a week ago and was staying at Lal Mohammad’s godown that is opposite to the bakery.

However, whereabouts of Yasmin and her mother Rashida is not known. Those at Hanuman tekri told The Asian Age that both were seen last on Sunday evening and construction work has not resumed on Monday.

Interestingly, Heena on being contacted said, "Nafitullah had called me up on Monday afternoon and assured that Yasmin would quit Hanuman tekri. He also told me that his "sources" in Mumbai have "handled" the issue after Madhu Shrivastava was contacted by his "sources" in the US. However, I do not know who contacted Madhu and what was discussed with him."

She also said that she had no idea where Yasmin had gone. The residents of Hanuman tekri including Lal Mohammad at whose premises Yasmin was staying have no clues about Yasmin’s whereabouts.

Lal Mohammad said, "I do not know where Yasmin is. She had not informed us before leaving the place. I had extended her help providing accommodation just because I knew her and I sympathised with her."

He added, "Nafitullah had brought her to Baroda. However, Nafitullah is no more in contact with me for three days. I do not know what is happening among the Shaikh family members and I also do not want to be pulled into this controversy," he said.

Lal Mohammad was another witness in the case who while deposing before the court had stated that the local residents including the 21 accused in the case had saved his life along with at least 50 other Muslims when the mob had attacked Muslims at Hanuman tekri.

The sources closely associated with Yasmin claimed that she had left the place following the controversy after Nafitullah on Sunday claimed that he had not called her to stay at the Best Bakery.

Nafitullah on Sunday had informed The Asian Age that he would be suing Yasmin for grabbing the property that legally belongs to his mother Sehrunnisa and himself. However, Yasmin reacted by saying that she was the wife of Nafitullah and had equal rights in his property.
