Selected Itinerary
 Day-1
Arrive in Abmedabad and proceed north to Balaram Palace resorts via
the 11th century Sun Temple at Modhera, the 11th century Rani-ki-vav stepwell
and the monuments of Sidhapur, O/n at Balaram Palace resort.
Day-2 Trip to the
12th centuryJain temples of Taranga in the hills and the torana at Vadnagar.
0/n at Balaram Palace resort.
Day-4 Visit the holy
temple of Ambaji and the 11th-12th century marble Jain temples of Kumhhariya,
and proceed to Darbaargadh Poshina for o/n halt. Tour the village and
nearby tribal hamlets to see colourful tribes and handicrafts.
Day-5 Travel down
to Ahmedabad and o/n halt.
Day - 6 Proceed
to the Palace Utelia and o/n halt. Visit the 2400-1600 BC archeological
ruins at Lothal and walk down the Utelia
village for a glimpse of rural culture.
Day-7 Travel down
to Nilambagh palace hotel for o/ n halt. Visit the Barton museum, Takteshwar
temple, Gaurishankar lake and Victoria Park.
Day-8 Morning visit
to the 863 temple cluster atop Shetrunjaya hill and the Jam museums of
Palitana. Return to the Nilambagh palace
hotel for o/n halt.
 Day-9
Travel west to Gondal and see the 1740s Naulakha palace, the Maharajah’s
private collection of vintage and classic cars, the royal rail saloon
carraiges, the Swaminarayan temple, the Ayurvedic pharmacy where herbal
medicines are made according to ancient principles, the bird rich lakes
and the stud farm of Kathiawadi horses and Gir cattle. 0/n at Riverside
palace or Orchard palace.
Day-lO Excursion to
the screen-and-block printers of Jetpur and the historic fort, mausoleum
complex and Darbarhall palace museum of Junagadh.Return to Gonndal for
o/n halt.
Day-11 Proceed to
Ranjit vilas palace at Wankaner and see the private collection of princely
relics. 0/n halt at the Royal Oasis or Residence in Wankaner.
Day-12 Return to Ahmedabad
Day-13 Proceed to
Garden palace of Balasinore and visit the 65 million year dinosaur site.
0/n at Garden palace.
Day-14 Travel to Rajpipla
and o/n at the Rajwant palace resort. See the magnificient Vadia palace,
the Natvar niwas with it’s beautiful murals, the Sardar Sarovar dam and
karjandam.
Day-15 Travel
to Baroda for return flight to Bombay / Delhi.
